Career Highlights
This section is not the "everything everywhere all at once" about my career. Instead, it is the highlight reel. For a complete, official resume, please contact me on LinkedIn or email writer@writingintheopen.com.
Short Introduction
My career includes time as a Director, Manager, and Lead Writer for technical writing teams. I've also worked as a User Interface Designer for Tivoli (now IBM) in Austin. With my brother, I have founded a Clinical Research Organization (CRO), Catalyst, and I support Mobile STI, his new company, with technology needs.
My first love is software development. In particular, I like the challenge of working with new technology. So, with the sudden growth of Artificial Intelligence (AI), I am looking for a part or full-time remote writing position in the software development domain. I look forward to seeing how AI will change software development.
I enjoy project management. At STI, I used Smartsheet to manage projects in the traditional sense. For software teams, I have introduced and configured ZenHub, updated and optimized JIRA configurations, and managed Confluence templates/configurations.
Authoring Tools
For writing guides, how-tos, tutorials, and reference, I've used the following tools:

I've also used the following specialized documentation generation tools:
Static Site Generators | API Generators |
---|---|

Finally, I have built graphics and video with:
